We're proud to present version 2023.07 of RIOT OS, the friendly operating system for the #IoT. New in this release are limited support for the #DMSE MAC layer of 802.15.4 radio through OpenDSME, the ATmega8 and nRF53 (no radio yet) CPUs and new boards.

After a year of work, mainly by @jia200x, we now have support for #OpenDSME in our development branch. This implementation of the DSME mode of 802.15.4 allows #6LoWPAN devices to stay available in low power sleep modes without the elaborate central control of timing and channels.

The 2022.04 release of RIOT OS, the friendly #OS for the #IoT, has been published. Highlights are USB mass storage support, more DTLS support for #CoAP, a first #SCHC implementation, and many new boards.

Our website and documentation are currently unavailable due to technical difficulties experienced by our hoster.
